In the Introduction, John teaches us about inflection points, those "pinpointed moments in time that change everything that follows." John says, "More important than the inflection point itself is how you choose to react to it. Whether that moment ends up impacting your life positively or negatively is, ultimately, a choice. It's your choice. These choices add up to the life you are living today."

So often, we see these inflection points through the lens of a victim, a "loser lobster" and we walk away, hanging our head, shoulder slumped, giving up instead of standing strong and choosing hope, faith, courage, light, hard work, and endurance.

We each face the decision to either take responsibility for our lives in choices big and small or to let others make decisions for us. We each get to choose how we spend our seconds, minutes, hours, and days. We each get to decide if we will use inflection points in positive or negative ways. We each have thousands of opportunities to decide to stand and walk and LIVE as a champion lobster.

Read Chapter One in On Fire and write down at least 10 questions or commentsabout the chapter.
Move like a champion lobster every day.
Write down your declarations and say them morning and night when you brush your teeth.
Set ANY goal, any commitment to your self, and do it every day.
Teach someone in your life about lobsters and body language and declarations and what we tell ourselves with our actions.
