Hello Friend,
Thank you for coming - I hope your time here blesses your life.
Who am I? I’m a human being who loves big and laughs hard and lives with passion. Spontaneously jumping into new projects, shrieking with delight, and creating embarrassing situations is pretty much a daily occurrence.
I’m a wife, mother, and grandmother to an ever-growing flock of adorable children (four lil’ cherubs so far! And clearly these family photos are outdated. We haven't had everyone all together AND gotten a decent photo for a few years, so you'll just have to imagine an updated family picture!)
I’ve been teaching children, youth, and adults for the past thirty years: everything from childbirth, breastfeeding, and parenting classes to gymnastics, math, writing, statesmanship, history, worldviews, and mindset. It has been a wild ride full of joy, transformation, and oodles of learning - for both myself and my students.
I hold a B.S. in Psychology, am a Certified Heroic Coach, and if doctorate degrees were earned for surviving the school of hard knocks, I'd have several!
Breathing in the sunrise, watching the stars, and putting my feet in a mountain stream are dear to my soul. The more time I spend kayaking, camping, cycling, reading, learning, and connecting with people of all ages is fuel for my life. Cooking, sewing, and order are fair-sized challenges, but somehow I’ve survived to middle-age and even improved in those areas, so there is hope for all of us!
As our children are leaving our nest, I’ve felt a call to share powerful principles and practices that change lives, build strong families, and make this world a better place. My offerings may change over time, but my purpose will stay the same - to help individuals and families thrive.
John F. Kennedy said, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” While this is obviously true, how does this apply in our lives? Are we to simply wait for the tide to rise?
Scott Whiting, in a speech about developing desired character traits, said, “Your significant efforts to gain one attribute become the tide that raises all boats in the harbor.” As we develop a character trait, such as honesty or making and keeping commitments to ourselves, the tide rises in our personal life and other character traits become easier to develop. Additionally, as we become better versions of ourselves, the tide rises in our homes and communities and other people are lifted as well.
I’m committed to raising the tide in my life and helping you do the same. As we do, we will change the world for good!
