I’ve spent far too many nights wasting time into the wee hours. Far too many nights working far too late. Far too many nights being entertained instead of putting the needs of my body first.
“We need to have a reason for getting up that is bigger than our reason for staying up.”
These words.
They are sinking deep in my soul.
I can feel them changing my life.
Brian Johnson of Heroic said this in his master class on sleep and though I have heard (and even taught) similar ideas many times before, today, this phrase leapt into my heart and mind and led me to decide to prioritize sleep in new ways.
My why for getting up is big. Beautiful. Powerful. Therefore, my desire to stay up late is no longer going to be my driving force.
